On Thursday (the 30th) we took our morning walk over to Tramside, past our last year's condo and billboard, and stopping at all the spots we love along the way. It's good to be back! Then we went back later that afternoon with Gregg just because, why not?
Yep. Pretty much! |
We're in number 4065 this year - which is a mirror of last year's 4016! Took a bit to get used to the flipped layout inside, but all good now! |
For writing this morning we read our fave Autumn: An Alphabet Acrostic and then collaborated on an acrostic of our own. I think we did a pretty good job, if I do say so myself! |
Lego welcome sign made by Cal. |
Bike ride to Tramside with Dad before dinner. |
Yay! |
And then on Friday (the 1st), for a mid-morning break, we went back to Tramside (of course) to show our friends, the McClungs (quick backstory: Christine and I have been friends since middle school band days and we were talking this summer about how hot and dry and covidy Utah was and how we just needed a break . . . that conversation turned into both of our families booking relocation vacations at Jay for October . . . and here we are!) around. What a perfect recess break!
For science that morning, we got to try out Sam's new Mars Explorer kit that he got for his birthday from Gma and Gpa Elwood. |
We had fun landing on Mars and learning about the surface! |
Timothy, Cal, Sam, Zachary . . . the four musketeers! |
They were so excited to see the tram car coming back the other direction, right over their heads! |
Sam's rover activity from the Mars kit was missing a gear it needed, so he decided to make his own out of Legos! |
So fun to have friends to share the fun with this year!
