Callie and I got to have a fun date to the Nutcracker with Grandma Blanchard this afternoon. We went to the Julie Moffitt Ballet School performance at the Peery's Egyptian Theater in Ogden and it was absolutely delightful! The costumes and scenery were spectacular. The older dancers were amazing and the bitty young ones were adorable (they added some new "characters" that we've never seen in any Nutcracker performance before- penguins, polar bears, sheep, candy canes and cherry cupcakes - in order to accommodate all the tiny dancers). We even got to see on of my activity days girls dancing in her preferred role of a "mean mouse soldier". Haha. After the show we walked down 25th Street to La Ferrovia for a late lunch/early dinner. Deeelish! What a fun afternoon girls outing!
