I'm thankful we get to celebrate Thanksgiving twice each year. First with the Blanchards on the Sunday before, and then again on Thursday with the Elwoods. We have no shortage of turkey, potatoes, stuffing, rolls, sweet potatoes and pie in our family!
Sunday, November 18th:

Some pre-dinner Cal and Grandma time; reading and snuggling by the fire - can't beat that! |
Callie made hand turkey place cards with everyone's name on them. |
Hello Wihongis! |
Let's eat! |
Lovin' the buffet line on the giant island in the new kitchen. |
Aggie was there, too. |
Back at the table again for pie! |
Pumpkin pie, apple pie and pear-cranberry crumble - oh my! |
Thursday, November 22nd:
(Technically this was on Wednesday the 21st - Cal requested we make candy turkeys for everyone, so we made it a mom'n'cal project while Sam napped.) |
Lots of game time and puzzle time was happening before and after and in between all the eating time. |
Let's eat! |
Time for pie! Heather made chocolate, coconut cream, sheet pan apple and pumpkin (completely homemade!). |
My contribution to the Elwood dessert buffet: Cranberry Orange Cheesecake. |
