Adventuring {November Hikes}

Hiking is getting to be a sparser activity than it used to be at the peak of summer.  But we definitely still try to get out.  And November is a lovely time to hike, even if the leaves are down.  It makes for lovely confetti on the trail as we walk along.  I've also decided that November blue skies can't be beat!

3 November 2018: Pineview Trail from the North Arm Trailhead.  They are almost finished with the new bridge!  Hooray and hallelujah!  We couldn't walk on it today, and that bummed Sam out big time . . . but soon!  Oh so soon!  It's about time!

Crazy to think that all that brown and yellow in front of us
is usually under water (at least in the spring).

Look at that new bridge!  It is sooo nice!

15 November 2018: Nature Trail at the North Arm Trailhead.  The bridge is finished!  We picked up our Ogden Valley Newspaper from the mailbox a couple of days ago and on the front page was a picture of the bridge and the crew who finished installing it.  Callie and Sam were jumping for joy, so we made sure to get down there as soon as we could.  We chose to hike on the nature trail loop that goes left just after the big bridge.  The kids didn't remember ever being on it, and it was quite overgrown and gnarly in places, but it eventually looped back around like I thought it would, and we quite enjoyed hiking in the chilly, frosty morning.

21 November 2018: Nature Trail from the North Arm Trailhead.  Are you noticing a theme for these November hikes?  haha  Back again for a bundled mid-morning hike with the kiddos.  We walked the opposite direction on the nature trail loop this time, just to switch things up a bit.
