Grandpa and Grandma Blanchard bought a gingerbread house kit and plenty of trimmings and invited Callie and Sam (and we parents came along, too) to come decorate it on an early December Sunday (the 8th) afternoon. We all had a yummy soup dinner and then the kids and grandma got busy with the candy and the frosting and the gingerbread! After they were finished there was time for playing with the trains and then we watched the First Presidency's Christmas Devotional (if you haven't watched it yet, then do it!) together. A lovely evening, indeed!
