We had a free evening and one more thing to check off our list of Christmas cheer before the big day(s), so we made a little visit to Ogden's Christmas Village after dinner on December 23rd. Usually when we go, it is not too crowded, but we had relatively warm and dry weather, it was getting close to Christmas, and it was Monday night, all of which equated to LOTS of people milling about the square. But we still had fun looking in the windows of the displays and enjoying the lights and riding on the train (the kids got a bonus turn around the track because of the two de-railings they experienced during their turn!). A fabulous way to celebrate Christmas Adam. ;)
One of the first houses we came to was decorated in The Dinosaur's Night Before Christmas, which we have read and loved this December, so that was super fun to see. |
Pterosaur shaped gingerbread! |
Peanuts scenes are also cute. |
Pretty lights in trees. |
On the train! |
This is where they derailed (twice) so the driver had to get out and push start the train again. |
Coming through the tunnel! |
It took five group shots to get one where Callie was smiling instead of sticking out her tongue! |
