Perhaps I should have titled this something about a ride on the Frontrunner instead, since that is usually the highlight of the evening. We picked up Callie from school on Tuesday, December 10th and headed right for the train station in Ogden. There we hopped on the Frontrunner and headed south to Salt Lake City. We hopped of at the North Temple station and walked a few blocks east to Crown Burgers for dinner. Yum! Then we kept heading east a few more blocks till we hit Temple Square. We wandered around amongst the glowing lights and nativity scenes for about a half hour before it was time to head back to the train station for the 7:01 train back to Ogden. It was a quick trip, but the weather was perfect and the company couldn't be beat!
They make me so happy! (And they're walking toward my favorite ever tree!) |
It was a gorgeous evening and the crowds were minimal - a Christmas (lights) miracle! |
We snapped a couple family group shots by a gorgeous white tree before we realized if we shifted a titch we could get the temple in the background, too! |
Voila! Perfection! |
The moon was so big and round (aaaalmost full, but not quite) and beautiful. |
We had to take a peek in the tabernacle where we see "tabernacker cracker" on tv singing each week. |
Back on the train and ready for bed! (Ha!) |
