Since we and my mom were out of school during Gregg's latest work trip to Vermont, we decided to take advantage of a chance for a Grandma's house sleepover and some quality time with the Cache Valley cousins. We had a blast playing with Evelyn, Grace and Bradley (and Grandma and Grandpa and aunties and uncles) on Monday and Tuesday (June 3rd and 4th), full of swimming and splashing and bubbles and sand; Ryan's Place Parking and splash padding and go fish in the trailer; impromptu family dinners and dress ups and cars and stories and scones. It was fantastic!
Poor Cal forgot to pack her swimsuit, but we made it work by designating one outfit as her "wet clothes" and one as her "dry clothes". Also: long legged lummox! |
Turns out Sam was the only one WITH a swimsuit during the morning swim sesh. |
Midday scone making helpers (the boys were napping). |
And back to the pool! |
Tuesday morning we all met up at Ryan's Place Park - lots of fun and imagination at that one. |
She was trying so hard to pull herself up to peek out Rapunzel's face window. Haha. Barely made it! |
Cute cuzzies. |
Sam's turn to drive. |
Prenap storytime with Grammy. |
He adopted a few new friends to sleep with in the napping bed. |
Go Fish in the trailer! |
Sam was complaining of itchy eyes before his nap but when he woke up he was really red and puffy. Darn allergies! |
How many kids can you stuff in a Burley (that has flat tires, no less - ha!) for a ride to the splash pad? Answer: 3 on the way and 4 on the way home! |
Thanks to Grandma and the aunties for making time to play with us. And for all the uncles and Grandpa who came home from work to eat dinner together. It was the best!
