It's birthday time for Gregg! We sure love this fun, handsome, loving, creative, hard working, smart, dedicated, happy, calm, good, amazing husband/dad of ours! So we had a lovely day celebrating him. We had french toast with strawberries and presents for breakfast. The kids and I each picked out a fun (crazy?) flavor of cereal one day when we were at the store. We also ordered him a year's subscription to Country Magazine (he has fond memories of it from his grandma's coffee table when he was young) and a "cabin building" tee shirt from our favorite youtube channel. Then I took Gregg to church for his early morning meeting. We met him there when it was time for Sacrament meeting. Then we all walked home together, ate some leftovers lunch, and chilled/napped for a while. When Sam woke up we packed up our brats/hot dog roast dinner stuff and headed to Causey Reservoir where we found a wide spot in the road near the lake and grilled up our dinner with a view. After dinner we skipped and splashed rocks and watched the hillside for deer (saw one running), and then we made a pit stop at the bottom of the dam to watch the water flowing over the spillway on our way back home. We rounded out the evening with peach cobbler and ice cream. We're sure grateful this man was born 36 years ago!
The magazine didn't come yet, so we had to make a little card place holder that explained the situation. |
Yes, those are sour patch kids cereal, trix (not that unusual, but the fruity shapes are back!), and banana pudding flavored nilla wafer cereal! Yum? |
