The kids have been planning out their Halloween costumes for weeks, and after a few changed minds and tweaked ideas, ended up as a creeper (Callie) and Luke Skywalker (Sam). They had a chance to wear their costumes to STEAM club at the library on the 25th, but other than that, they saved them for the big day. We had such a fun time trick-or-treating with cousins in Providence last year, that was definitely high on the plans for this year, too. But Grandma and Grandpa Blanchard wanted to see the kids in costume, too, so we made a stop at their house (and to their neighbors) first.
The party in Providence was perfect - lots of cousins dressed up adorably joining lots of other neighborhood families prowling the streets for all the candy. Then we came back to Grandma and Grandpa's for soup in bread bowls and donuts and apple cider to celebrate Mom/Gma's birthday. Fun times with the fam!

Today's mini was clever and adorable. |

"Ssssss . . . boom!" |

We were so pleased with how that creeper costume turned out - using a giant green table cloth left over from Birthday Bowling. Gregg made the head, Cal and I made the body. And luckily, she is just the same shape as a creeper! |

Trick-or-treat at Grandma's house! (She took treats to her neighbors so the kids could trick-or-treat there, too. AND she had candy in all the bedrooms inside, so they could trick-or-treat there, too!) |
