Mid-October in Huntsville is basically spectacular, so we joined Grandpa and Grandma Blanchard on the 18th for an excursion to the pumpkin patch at the Monastery Farm. The pumpkins were in bright form and we enjoyed watching dozens of cranes flying, squawking and landing in the nearby fields while we perused the gourd selection. What a glorious day!
