Tis the season for family reunions! We had the Blanchherd in Bear Lake one week in July and the next (27 - 29 July) was with the Elwoods at Spruces Campground in Big Cottonwood Canyon. We had such a great time camping, hiking, biking, playing, talking and definitely eating together.

| We actually snagged one of the sites that was reserved for our group the day before everyone else came up, and that evening we tried baking chocolate cake in oranges in the fire (since Cal saw it in one of her outdoor adventure books from the library). It was delish! |

| Oh what a beautiful mornin'! |

| We hiked to Doughnut Falls after breakfast. |

| It got a little gnarly here at the ropes/cliff section, but everyone made it down! |

| As close as we got to the falls because it was pretty wet the rest of the way, and technically, no one is supposed to touch the water (though lots of people disregarded those signs). |

| Breakfast #2 a la Nate (and Ev): Breakfast tacos! (Our second round of tacos on this trip, after Ky and Mike's lunchtime carnitas tacos the day before; and also our second round of mexicany breakfast, after Mugs's breakfast burritos the day before. I told you, we ate well!) |
