Tony Grove, Take 2

After everyone dispersed to their various ways after our Blanchard reunion (on 20 July), we were not quite ready to head back home. So we stopped again at Tony Grove, found a picnic spot (not our fave, but next best), and just hung out for the afternoon. We pumped up a kayak and our air mattress to play in the water. We hung up a hammock and got the camp chairs out to chill and read. We had lunch and snacks. And Sam even ran around the lake all by himself! (Gregg dared him that he could do it in less than 20 minutes . . . and he did!! (And then did it again with Gregg!! Two laps in a row!) It was the absolute perfect way to wrap up

Perhaps THE prettiest place on the planet.

I spy Gregg in a kayak.

This is the life!

Time for a flower tour.

What is this thing?!

Fave!!

Def hard to see . . . but Sam is over there across the lake
running a solo lap!

Here he comes!!

Cal and I waited on a rock while Gregg and Sam ran
a lap again.

I spy Gregg and Sam comin' down the homestretch.

We stretched out the fun by using Gregg's bday gift card
to Mo' Bettah's (and getting our Hawaiian BBQ fix that we
missed out on with so much Cafe Sabor at the reunion).

We were tired by the time we got home, but the work
was not over because we had to take care of this
giant limb that fell while we were gone!

I think that is the new hole?

Oh! Hello, pretty flower by the garage.

Gregg is an animal - got all the branches cut off an moved out
of the way so we could pull in the driveway. Our neighbor
came over the next day with his chain saw to chop up the main
log.
