The Blanchherd at Bear Lake {7/19: Golfing, Hiking, Go Karts, LaBeau's, Family Pictures}

Wednesday turned out to be sort of a do-what-you-wanna-do kinda day. Some folks went golfing. Some went hiking. Some rode go karts. Everyone ate at LaBeau's for lunch!

Big deal! Paul and Kim had been
exposed to Ryan while he was sick, so they
were dutiful in wearing masks inside until
it was time at last to test and take them off!

Our little fam went to hit a bucket of balls at the driving
range.

Cal and I worked on friendship bracelets.

I went on a hike on the Limber Pine trail with Heather,
Scott, Kage and Liz.

Ostrich tree photo op!

Freakiest bug I ever did see. (We found
out later it is a Jerusalem Cricket.)

Group shot at the tree.

Meanwhile, Cal and Sam and Cohen and Melia
were driving go karts with Bret.

Let's lunch!

I loved the pretty milkweed near our back deck.

The Farrers and our family wanted to go to Bloomington
Lake, but the road was washed out, so we drop up toward
Minnetonka Cave and took a little hike to an ice-cold stream
to cool off.

Pooh sticks!

Oh yes, there were screens, too. (Usually, the kids
were holed up in their lair watching youtube memes.)

B-day celebration #2: this time
for Dray's #14 a few days later
this week.

One must on Kim's list for this gathering was a family picture, so
Gregg set up his phone on a tripod and used our little remote
and we got this great shot of this great group. It was a bummer
with no Ryan, though, for sure.

Grandma and Grandpa and their eight grandkids.

We did individual family groups, too.
Here's us. We're cute.

Lots of great visiting going on all over the deck.

And the sky gave us another great show!
