It's birthday week in the Blanchard family! Gregg used to be all by himself having a birthday in the summer, but now with the addition of nieces and nephews and a daughter of his own, we're cramming 4 birthdays (Kage, Gregg, Melia and Callie) in the space of just 10 days. (And then Katie is later in June and Dray is in July.) Talk about party time!
To celebrate number 31 with our dishy and wonderful husband/dad here in Colorado, we decided to bring back the Birthday Bowling tradition (we had to hold off last year due to the extreme pregnant-ness of me - I didn't want to become the bowling ball myself). It turns out bowling is not the most popular activity in Eagle County and we ended up with the whole alley all to ourselves for most of the evening (contrast that to Logan where a Monday night in a Mormon college town is downright busy at a bowling alley). It took a game for us to warm up our bowling arms and for Cal to get used to the loud music and crashing pins, but by game two we were bowling our A game (7 strikes between the two of us ain't too shabby!). And Cal was much more comfy and at home hangin' out on the couches and watching the show. (I think the iphone had something to do with that. Maybe.)
After bowling we came home to a marvelous dessert: Orange Creamsicle Cheesecake. I've made Gregg a birthday cheesecake for 3 of the 4 birthdays we've celebrated since we've been married. Each one is easier to make and tastier to eat than the year before. I think we need to keep this tradition up.
Happy birthday, Gregg! And many more . . . We love you so.
Kimma, thanks for the post and photos! I was just waiting for them so I could snatch and make my own post! Thanks!!! We love you! Happy Birthday Pup!!
