Photos from Phones - March 2015 Round Up

March is gone already?  How did that happen?  It was a good month, minus the fact that it started out with us all being sick - Cal especially.  But once that first week was behind us, we quite enjoyed ourselves.  Note a gap in photos around a specific day?  That was my birthday and I already blogged about it here, in case you missed it.  The rest of our month was a lot of the same - spending as much time outside as we can (Cal especially loves to go outside these days - there is so much to touch and pick up and stash away in pockets out there!) and cooking together in the kitchen (Cal is a great little kitchen side-kick and is pretty much the cutest thing in an apron this side of the Mississip).  Toward the end of the month we got to take a couple short road trips: first to Frisco, where Gregg was moderating a panel at a little conference, and Cal and I wandered around Frisco, exploring the bike path and the library while we waited for him to finish.  Next, to Rifle, to visit my brother, Nate, and his wife, Shelly, and their baby, Evelyn, as well as my parents who were visiting them.  Callie and I had fun exploring Rifle Falls State Park again and hanging out with the fam for the day.  Good times all month.

(we knew she wasn't feeling well when she fell asleep in my
arms without any effort on my part whatsoever)

3.1.15
(poor baby)

3.10.15
(she's a great little helper in the kitchen)

3.13.15
(especially if she gets to "stir stir stir" and then "yick a beater"
or, in this case, a spoon)

3.14.15

3.17.15
(sorry - I just love clouds, what can I say?)

3.20.15
(this may not look convenient, but actually, it's a little trick
I use to get her to move a little faster than she otherwise
would on our walk back home.  she's happy, I'm happy.
win, win.)

3.21.15
(at her own pace)

3.24.15
(making lemon poppy seed bundt cake for the relief society
birthday party.  it was the bomb, by the way)

3.24.15
(these lemons came from a lady in our ward from her tree at
her house in arizona.  they were huge and super juicy!)

3.27.15
(frisco, co bike path views)

3.27.15
(exploring at the frisco library - cal loved these
huge stuffed animals and the stairs they sat on)

3.27.15
(more frisco - beautiful day)

3.27.15
(dinner thanks to a birthday giftcard at smashburger and look
who we saw in the paper while we were there!)

3.31.15
(rifle falls state park with gwama and gwampa elwood)

3.31.15
(hangin' with Cousin Ev - they're obviously thrilled to be together)

3.31.15
(there's the smiles!)

  1. My girls love to go on walks too . . . which means I don't get the exercise I used to, but it's still good ;) . . . and Callie does look pretty stinkin' cute in her apron ;)

  2. You weren't kidding about the apron cuteness. Also, the clouds are lovely, and that's probably the biggest lemon I've ever seen.

    1. I just remembered that I had more from Gregg's phone - so I added them tonight. Plus some hiking ones. So I have no idea if you'll ever revisit this post or see this reply, but if you do, you're in for a treat. :)

  3. You won't want to buy a store lemon after using those straight from AZ! Such strolling fun. It was fun to gather rocks for her pockets while we were there! And I love the snuggle pictures.

    1. As well as the cooking ones. Brings back similar memories of when Callie's mom was that age.😊
