Blossoms

Every spring I get antsy for blossoms, but since our climate is a little bit cooler than down in Ogden, we have to wait till mid-May or so to see the trees around us bursting into bloom. So we usually take a little field trip to the Botanical Gardens and the temple grounds in mid-April to get our fix. This year we ventured out on Thursday, April 21st (so not a Friday Field Trip, but close enough ;). We brought lunch and had a picnic and made an afternoon out of it. It was marvelous!

Lunchtime at the Botanical Gardens.

Tulips

Daffs

No idea what these are but they're fuzzy
and cool!

Popcorn tree!

Oh-so-close buds on the crabapples.

I always love the forsythia bushes.

This raggedy edged tulip was cool.

And this tulip has more petals than normal.

We love the magnolia tree at the temple.

And their tulips weren't quite at peak yet, but close enough.

Little purple pansies flecked with yellow gold.

I love buds as much as I love blossoms!

Welcome, Spring! We're SO glad you're here!
