Here We Are, the Pumpkin Farm!

Next we'll travel arm in arm. . .  (it's a quote from a autumn library book that we've been reading this month, not actually how we made our visit to the pumpkin patch).

It's that time of year again.  Time to visit the pumpkin patch to pick out our biggest, roundest, orangest pumpkin.  We opted again for hunting one down at the little U-pick patch off the highway in Liberty on Saturday the 8th.  Since we only had $7 in cash (stolen borrowed from the kids, naturally), and the suggestions on the sign said "$5 for a standard size pumpkin (roughly the size of a basketball)" we told Cal that she could choose one really big one for her and Sam to share or two small ones for each of them to have their own.  She opted for bigger is better and we came away with a lovely specimen, bright and orange (and slightly squashed on the backside).  Perfect!

Giving kisses to the pumpkin?

  2. So it was there! We missed it when we came to Sam's birthday and I was sad that you wouldn't be able to go to the pumpkin patch. I'm glad I was wrong.
