First Haircuts for Everyone

Gregg has been begging (well, not exactly begging, but commenting/threatening/talking about) cutting Sam's hair for a while now.  And he had good reason to - it was quite shaggy and getting long enough for some baby piggies in the back.  But I kept begging (more accurate than his begging) that he put it off; for sentimental mom reasons, I guess.  Finally we both couldn't handle more messy, snarly hair after yet another food-covered-hands-through-the-hair episode during dinner on Friday the 30th.  So Barber Daddy got busy.  And he did a great job!  (Minus a few long hairs left around the ears, which, to be honest, will probably stay there till his next haircut because holy cow, cutting a busy, wiggly baby's hair is no joke!)

And if we're giving one kid his first haircut, why not give the other one hers?  Yes, Cal has never had her haircut in her 3.25 years of life.  Till now.  It was time for a trim, for sure.  She had finally got quite a bit of length growing, but it was also really scraggly and thin at the ends.  So, Barber Daddy to the rescue again.  After watching a quite youtube tutorial (which helped Cal get really excited about the experience, too), he went to work.  And, again, he did an excellent job.  I think I'll keep him around!
