Well, now, here's a nice flashback post for ya. November in a nutshell. (Posted in January, no less, though I'm going to change the posted date to something else so I can keep everything in chronological order for my own perfectionist needs.) Anywho . . . back to November. Here we go!
11.1.16 (hail on the deck. I took this to show Gregg what kind of weather he was missing while he was in Vermont for the Ryan Solutions acquisition by Innopia) |
11.1.16 (never used one of these before - had to document) |
11.1.16 (we think they're brilliant) |
11.2.16 (this one was taken by Gregg and sent to me to show me some of the cool trails he discovered in Vermont, just across the street from the office) |
11.2.16 (so much to explore!) |
11.2.16 (my fotwv - that's fly on the wall view, in case you've never seen my random acronym. my busy baby boy.) |
11.2.16 (I have to be sneaky when I'm taking his pic or else he tries to come see what I'm doing instead of sitting still so I can snap one) |
11.2.16 (hey mom, whatcha doin?) |
11.2.16 (broke out the thanksgiving mix cd that my sister mugs made for me a year or so ago. Love it!) |
11.2.16 (Swinging Smiling Sammy, still at it in November's chill) |
11.2.16 (I just can't pick a favorite so I'm posting both. It's my blog so I can do that.) |
11.2.16 (porch playin') |
11.2.16 (playing peek-a-boo between the porch rails) |
11.2.16 |
11.2.16 |
11.2.16 |
11.2.16 |
11.2.16 |
11.2.16 (I mean, can ya blame me? How the heck could I narrow it down?) |
bonus video!
11.5.16
(we ventured out to catch some sunshine and fresh air
at a closed campground somewhere between Huntsville and Causey.
It turned out to be the perfect place for some bikin' practice for Cal
and she nailed it! Over and over and over.)
11.5.16 (doing some climbing on the bridge and tossing rocks overboard while we watch sister do her thing) |
11.5.16 (just look at that face! (and the face of her daddy!) Proud and psyched.) |
11.4.16 (I know it's out of order, and it's okay with me) (these are some of our faves of the 34+ thanksgiving books we checked out and read this month) |
11.7.16 (and these ones are great, too) |
11.8.16 (still getting a few afternoon naps like this, and even though I could be doing other things, I really can't complain about snuggling a baby and reading a book every once in a while) |
11.8.16 (it's been unseasonably warm for November, and we had to take advantage of it by "hiking" at "our trailhead") |
11.8.16 (Sam can do it all by himself now and it's a whole new experience in hiking for all of us) |
11.8.16 (this pic just cracks me up. real life, that's it) |
11.8.16 (I took a ridiculous amount of photos like this trying to get the "perfect capture" of Cal holding my hand, Sam off on his own and my chacos - to show how really warm it was) |
11.8.16 (and then we had to do a selfie. with tongues.) |
11.8.16 (this one went on insta. I love my people and I love being on a trail with them.) |
11.9.16 (new day, same spot, same baby, same book (The Nightingale by Kristen Hannah).) |
11.9.16 (more naptime snuggles. and the poor kid always seems to have some scratch or bump or scab on his cute little face. poor kid) |
11.14.16 (her first ever picture of a person. with chicken pox. seriously.) |
11.15.16 (we all got invited to our first ever birthday party (well, not mine, but for Cal and Sam) for our little friend, Henry) |
11.15.16 (it was at Kangaroo Zoo in Ogden and Cal had an absolute blast bouncing on all the bouncy house toys with her friends) |
11.15.16 (I finally got Sam to try this one out because it was full of balls to play with) |
11.15.16 (it was a little tricky to get used to for such a small guy, but he had a fun time once he got his sea legs) |
11.15.16 (each kid got a balloon to take home from the party - Cal chose her favorite color red and she was in heaven!) |
11.15.16 (she had to take it outside for a walk) |
11.15.16 (I love the simple pleasures of a three-year-old) |
11.16.16 (here's Cal and Henry just shootin' the breeze at the park after music makers - I'm so glad Henry's mom Alicia snapped this and sent it to me!) |
11.17.16 (Sam was less than impressed with the whole affair.) |
11.17.16 (not an uncommon sight, unfortunately) |
11.17.16 (bread day. never gets old) |
bonus video!
11.17.16
(also not an uncommon sight. though sometimes
Gregg and I are just laying on the floor or on the couch
while the kids run laps around us. seriously, where do they get
their energy?!)
11.19.16 (sassy sunrise snowmaking is back!) |
11.19.16 |
11.19.16 (the colors were so bright!) |
11.19.16 (I spy two little tykes watching the show from the kitchen window) |
11.19.16 (I see a little accumulation!) |
11.19.16 |
bonus videos!
and
11.19.16
11.19.16 |
11.19.16 (well aren't they the cutest little bathtime babes?) |
(Thanksgiving related posts covered elsewhere)
11.28.16 (and just look at these hand turkeys - she did these ones all by herself!!) |
11.28.16 (it snowed again! And Cal went out at least twice to play by herself - she can't get enough of the white stuff!) |
11.28.16 |
11.28.16 |
11.28.16 |
11.28.16 (Sam was a little bit under the weather so he had to stay inside and watch from the kitchen) |
11.28.16 (a few of her new drawings - to fill the space we emptied earlier - in her right hand a snowman and her left she says is a "Christmas tree with Santa right here!") |
11.29.16 (poor sicky, sleepy Sammy) |
11.30.16 (I got to sneak out with Callie during Sam's nap to tromp around in the snow - serious workout pulling a sled with her on it through the yard, breaking trail!) |
11.30.16 (she seriously loves being out in the snow and I'm so happy she loves it) |
11.30.16 (my darling little snow bunny) |
11.30.16 (using up some leftover thanksgiving turkey in a winner of a recipe from Mel - skillet turkey fajita nachos! nachos are my love language.) |
Every other round up here:
