Zucchini Boat Regatta

We spent a fun afternoon in Logan on Labor Day.  On the docket was picnicking in Merlin Olsen Park followed by carving the giant zucchinis that got carried away in everyone's collective gardens into boats to float down the river running through the park.  All in all a fun day with a bunch of my Thornley aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents.

Sammy's good ship "S for Nam".

Callie dubbed hers "The Seed Ship" and made
some lovely decorations on the side.

The maiden voyage of the two vessels.

Ready at the finish line.

Rescuing her boat from the frigid waters.

Uncle Michael was a champ to spend so much
time in the water catching floating squash.
