And we finally got to go home! The nurses and doctors said we could stay three or four nights (insurance would cover four nights), but when the doctor checked my incision on the morning of the 4th day (June 12th), she noticed some slight redness and decided to put me on antibiotics to be safe. She also said we had to stay one more night. So we did. Unfortunately, we had to spend that last night tucked away in a tiny room in the corner of the women's center. We had been in a big, nice room with an awesome view of Vail Mountain. Because some twins were coming in, we got kicked into the "dungeon" room, with a window looking out into the hallway. Needless to say we were very glad to head home on the 13th.
