Fourth of July Hikin'

We thought we'd head to Vail for Independence Day.  Our plan was to do a little hiking around the mountain, maybe catch a few minutes of the parade through the village, and grab a bite to eat at a fun restaurant.  We didn't realize that thousands of people would descend on the village that day, so when we got slowed down in the super traffic jam on I-70 near Vail, we decided to just keep driving and do a little exploring on top of the Pass.  It was a gorgeous day, and Callie snoozed the whole time we explored around the Black Lakes.  After we had our fill of the mountains, we stopped in Minturn, grabbed some Nicky's Quickies and had ourselves a yummy feast at a little park near the river.  After stopping for gas and a few needs at Wal-Mart (read: diapers), we headed home for an afternoon of naps for everyone.  It was a great day and just a lot of fun to get out of the house and do something "real" after almost a month of being cooped up at home.

Zonked out - we moved her from her car seat to the carrier
and back to the car seat and she never woke up!
