Rub-a-Dub-Dub

It's Callie in a tub!  She didn't love her first bath (as you can see in these pics), but luckily she has come to really enjoy them at home.  In fact, now she cries when we take her out!  Someday I hope we'll have a bathtime that doesn't involve tears.

The nurse first washed her hair at the sink using the faucet:

Then she moved to the tub for the rest of her bath.  Apparently it's okay to give brand new babies full-on baths, even with their umbilical cord stump still attached.  The nurses told us that when the grandmas found out they'd probably be worried, but it really is okay.  :)  The blanket technique used by our nurse was new to me, too:
