Goodbye to 455

After 27 and a half years in their (our) house on 1150 North in Logan, my parents have moved to a newer, bigger, better (huge garage! big yard! air conditioning! sprinkler system!) house in Providence.  We helped with the moving and the cleaning (a tiny bit - it's amazing how little one can get done when trying to take care of kids at the same time) on Saturday, June 3rd.  It's definitely a little bittersweet to say goodbye to a home with so many good memories (not to mention a good ward and neighborhood my parents said goodbye to), but change is good.  And I know the new house will be filled with new memories in no time.

Lunch time for the workers.  Crazy how big a place
feels when it's empty of furniture.

The roses were in full splendor - and Heather took some cuttings
which hopefully will survive and thrive in their new home, too.

Love the photo bomb by backyard neighbor, Dan.  We'll miss
him and his stories, for sure.

For perspective, this was taken the spring after we moved in,
in the spring of 1990 (we moved in in December '89 and it was
probably too snowy to do any porch pictures then?).  The kids
certainly have changed, but look at the house!  Doesn't even
look like the same place.

Incidentally, if you're lookin' to buy in Logan, I know a place that's for sale.  ;)
