Birthday Bowling is Back!

After a couple year COVID hiatus, we were back in action with our annual birthday bowling bash held on Saturday, 4 June. This year, we were at yet another new-to-our-party bowling alley, opting for Ben Lomond Lanes on Washington after shopping around for best prices and availability. It worked out perfect! We had five lanes at one end for our group, one of which was all the "big" cousins (that was a hoot!). Plenty of fun was had by all.

Bowling cousins!

Birthday bowling boy in action.

Mags and Mugs in matching shoes.

My mom got the W from our lane.

Pretty close in the kids lane, but Sam squeaked out the win
over Cal.

Go Scott! Utter domination.

When Maggie arrived she was tired and groggy
from a car nap on the way down. She wasn't at all
interested in bowling on her turn, but she was
an excellent and exuberant cheerleader for everyone else.
Then, with only a few frames left to bowl, she decided to give
it a try. And she was hooked!

Spare!!

So excited!

This was the highest scoring lane of the bunch. And Nate
turned out to be the highest scoring player of our entire group.

Phew! Gregg just beat Suls by a point!

After bowling, we all came back to Eden for dinner and cake. We made pulled pork and Italian Beef sandwiches and everyone pitched in with salads and sides to share. It was a delicious feast! The weather turned a little gusty right at cake time, so we had to move inside for Gregg's carrot cake (made by the birthday boy!) and Cal's pizza cake (decorated by the birthday girl!). A sweet ending to a fun afternoon!

Whoever brought the cheetos was everyone's favorite person.

Presents from Grandma and Grandpa E.
She wanted a plain white sketch book and Gma didn't even
know that!

Such a cute dress!

Yummy Trader Joe's treats from Heather and Scott.

Cake time!

Song time!

Birthday time!
