Day 5: Friday, June 24th
Early morning snuggles. |
And early morning cheey-mccheesertons. |
We came around the point because the tide was so low and got to see all kinds of ocean-life on the rocks. |
We hurried back to the house to join the rest of the fam for a family home morning about family history. |
Grandpa told a story about a bear and all the kids got to help with their puppets. |
Back to the beach we went, this time with the rest of the clan. |
We camped out on the other side from last time (through the tunnel) for a change in perspective. |
Naptime on Grandma. (Nap schedules were a little skee-whompus for this guy - he had to take 'em when he could get 'em.) |
Gregg and I took a little walk "date" along the beach to a little cave. |
Time for lunch! |
I could watch and listen to waves all day. |
I couldn't pick just one of these cute boys. |
So Heather and Paul got to work searching themselves and came out with quite the haul. |
Too much beachin' can wear a boy out. |
Make that two boys. ;) |
After dinner we headed out to Cape Meares again for an evening hike. This time instead of going to Big Spruce, we took the trail the other direction and wandered through old growth forest for a ways. |
Happy hikers are we. |
Trees and things growing out of dead trees and things. |
The ferns were my favorite! |
I spy the ocean again! |
Group shot where we parted ways. Dray was there, he just didn't make it in the pic. |
