Adventuring {Oregon: Kelley Point + Portland Homes + Berry Picking}

Day Two: Tuesday, June 21st

Starting off the morning right with a bowl full of
sugar in the motel breakfast room.

Cal was so excited to share some cereal with
Grandma and Grandma was a champ to have
"a taste".  And we got the proof.

Wherever Sam is, these two are not far behind.

Girl cousins chillin' in Gpa and Gma's room.

Nothing like a little early morning hair pulling
for the boys in the hotel.

This was Sam's favorite thing about his big boy
cousins - they'd come up to him and put their heads
down purposely allowing him to tug on their hair.

After we checked out of the motel, we ventured out to do some
exploring of the Portland area.  A lovely morning walk at
Kelley Point Park was the perfect start.

Here is Kelley Point - where the Columbia and the Willamette
Rivers converge.

Always exploring in the sand. She found something
great, I'm sure.

Family pics at the anchor.

Trying to get the tugboat to toot.  It did!  (But I don't think it
was because of us.)

I loved all the greenness.

Sam was being extra adorable on our walk back
to the car.

After Kelley Point, we drove through some Portland suburb
neighborhoods to see where Paul and Kim lived when they lived
here.  Heather got to pose by the first house they bought, the
home she came home to as a wee baby.

Here's house #2, the one Gregg came home to after being born.
They lived here a couple of years before moving back to Utah.

Crossing St. Johns Bridge on our way to our
next stop: berry picking!

I stole this pic from Laurel because hers was much more
picturesque than mine.

Cal was in heaven at Kruger's Farm picking and eating berries -
her favorite thing ever!

Grandma was in heaven, too.  This was her trip highlight.

Blackberries.  Blueberries.  Bag a bunch.

Blanchards in a berry patch.

It was such a beautiful spot on Sauvie Island.

The field at the end of the blueberry section
was full of hydrangeas (and other flowers
beyond that that I didn't know/couldn't see
very well).  Breathtaking!

Best ride back to the market to pay for our pick.

One last look at the farm.  It was just like
a movie or book.

After lunch and some grocery shopping (and a multitude of car
naps in the Wal-mart parking lot for all the boys), we arrived
at the coast, in Oceanside, at our "beach house" for the rest of
the week.

Grandma got jammies for all the kiddos.

Oh dear!
