Holy moley I'm getting behind on my posting. I'm slowly but surely catching up. But it's mid-April and here's our February round up. Oops. Anyway, better late than never, I always say. Here goes! (For being such a short month, I seem to have plenty of pictures to share and talk about! The neverending blessing/curse of the digital camera/cell phone age!)
2.1.17 (Sam's new reading perch - looks comfy!) |
2.1.17 (spectacular sunrises we've been having lately) |

2.1.17 (cute activity days girls tasting their cinnamonchip scones that we made for our activity) |
2.6.17 (back from St. George and bundled up again) |

2.6.17 (this is the one I insta-ed) |
2.6.17 (I finished this book and I really enjoyed it/learned a lot) |
2.6.17 (to remind me of the bullet points that she talked about through the book - maybe I should just buy it?) |
2.8.17 (another day, another stroller ride) |
2.8.17 (fifty degrees! no hats! wet roads! blue skies! pink shovel?) |

2.9.17 (another good book I finished this month - I really was on a reading roll; by the end of the month I had finished seven books!) |
2.9.17 (I counted this in my books read for the month since it was a pretty in-depth picture book. and then we found a show on netflix that talked about the same thing - so fascinating!) |

2.11.17 (lunch at Chuckarama with the Blanchard bunch to celebrate Laurel's birthday) |
2.11.17 (and then it was ballet time! we saw Sleeping Beauty and it was breathtaking!) |
2.11.17 (every year Kim treats the ladies in the family to a classic ballet at Ballet West; it's a marvelous tradition!) |
2.11.17 (we came back for cake as a joint birthday party for Laurel and me) |
2.11.17 (she made an amazingly rich and decadent tres leches cake and we topped it with strawberries and cream!) |
2.11.17 (mmmmm) |
2.11.17 (Matchy matchy spring dresses from Grandma!) |
2.14.17 (more art by Cal - I don't know when she drew these exactly, but I had to make sure to photograph them before we re-papered the walls eventually) |
2.15.17 (it doesn't look like much, but what Cal is standing on is a giant pile of sticks that has just enough slope to let her slide down on her red sled) |
2.15.17 (pulling it up all by herself) |
2.15.17 (and down she goes! straight for the bush!) |
bonus videos!

2.23.17 (some Mom and Sam time: sitting on my bed, oinking at the pig on the cover of my notebook, and giggling most-adorably) |
2.23.17 (I mean, can you handle it?) |
2.23.17 (that's what I thought) |

2.24.17 (it was magnificent!) |
2.26.17 (same dress, new Sunday) |
2.26.17 |
2.26.17 (I was trying to get one of both kids in their new outfits, but alas, as you see here, Sam was less than cooperative) |
2.27.17 (1 pm, eating our lunch, and what do we see sniffing around our deck?) |
2.27.17 (yep, him (her?)) |
2.27.17 (Callie said it was a milestone for her to see her first raccoon while eating lunch) |
2.27.17 (it stole a dirty diaper we had thrown out there before taking it to the garage garbage. I tried to scare it into dropping it, but instead it ran under the deck with the sackapooey) |
2.27.17 (I was so afraid we'd have a dead raccoon under our deck because it ate such an awful meal, but that was not the case as it came back the next day for another round of sniffing at the door) |
2.27.17 (I kind of felt like I was in the zoo, it was so close) |
2.27.17 (it's pawprints were everywhere in the fresh dusting on the deck) |
Every other round up here (whew!):
