A Perfect Ten

August 28th was our tenth (10!!) wedding anniversary, and what a perfect day it was! We started out with breakfast in bed from the kids (they made us toast :) and reminiscing about lots of great memories of our family for the past decade. Then we packed up some snacks and swimsuits and headed to Bear Lake. (Thank you four day work week and homeschool!) We played at the beach near the rest stop for a few hours and had a marvelous time. Gregg had the great idea to bring along our air mattress to use as a raft - that turned out to be such a fun toy! We also brought along our kite, and it pretty much flew itself in the constant breeze. Of course we had to eat at LaBeau's for a late lunch and oh, it was delicious!

That evening we broke out the 10 candles like we used to do back for our 10 days, 10 weeks, 100 days, 10 months and 1 year anniversaries. (Yes, they're the same candles after all these years, but the #1 did need a wick transplant after being called into action so many times.)

On Saturday, Gregg's parents offered to watch the kids while we had an anniversary date. We hiked at Powder Mountain (the same spot we did on our honeymoon ten years ago) and ate tacos at the top for lunch. The kids had a blast playing with trains and picnicking with grandpa and grandma in the garage at home.

It was a marvelous weekend to celebrate a marvelous decade! Here's to the next ten!
