Photos from Phones - September 2018 Round Up

Remember September?  It seems like September couldn't possibly be that long ago, yet here I am nearing the end of October (I am really trying to get everything caught up on this ol' blog, so at least my September wrap up is only one month late instead of two like August was) and as I look back at these photos, I think, "Man! That happened forever ago!"  Anyway, September is one of my favorite months of fall; one of my favorite months of all.  And this one was no exception.  So many memories!

9.3.18
(Labor Day picnic and kayaking in Logan at
a little park on the Logan River near First Dam.)

9.3.18

9.3.18

9.3.18
(no nap day for this boy and he handled it
pretty well, considering)

9.3.18
(mud pie making time for these second cousins)

9.3.18
(6:40 pm - out like a light before we made it to
Wellsville!)

9.3.18
(Heather sent me this after she got home with a
box of clothes (including this adorable hand-me-
down costume) I had just passed on to her -
all those heart eyes for Gracie Girl!)

9.4.18
(I had been asking Heather and Nate if the color
changes we were seeing were due to autumn or
drought, and then I saw this: plenty of water at
park and those trees are changing already!  It must
be fall!)

9.4.18
(ooooh!  happy backpack find today!  I've been dreaming of these
Scholastic Book Orders since Cal started school and now we got
them!  I think they're going to be really bad for my budget!)

9.4.18

bonus videos!

9.4.18

9.6.18

9.6.18
(those hills are looking red, but my phone camera can't even tell)

9.6.18
(Sam loves to open the doors at school by pushing
the button)

9.6.18
(week two of kindergarten looks like walking
into the school all by herself and backpack
bling (she noticed that many other backpacks
were sporting things from their zippers and asked
if she could put something on hers, too - I
suggested a bead string and she maximized that
option!))

9.10.18
(milestone!  all of us on bikes on the way to school
today!)

9.10.18
(gliding home from kindergarten drop off
with this kid)

9.10.18
(this library stack brought to you by all the books I wanted to
read but didn't want to buy from the book orders)

9.10.18
(favorite lunch status)

9.12.18
(while Gregg chats with his buddy about
side project stuff, you can find me here: in bed
with a book and birthday cake)

9.13.18
(we took advantage of an early (ish) game time to watch the Ags
utterly dominate Tennessee Tech in Maverik Stadium - they
won 73 to 12 (!!!) and even though we left in the third quarter
so we could get home at a decent hour, we still saw plenty of
scoring to fill our appetites!)

9.13.18
(so fun to watch the Aggies with Grandma and Grandpa
and Ky and Mike)

9.13.18
(some people come for the football, I come for the clouds ;)

9.13.18
(the above statement may or may not be true ;)

9.13.18
(simba cam)

9.13.18
(I mean, can you blame me?)

9.13.18
(Kylie gave us this giant bag of fresh-from-her-
trees peaches - oh! they were delightful!)

9.14.18
(I love to watch her ride her bike home with
that big ol' backpack)

9.14.18
(practicing her new one-handed trick)

9.15.18
(a second sporting event in one week? wowza! we're here for
RSL!)

9.15.18
(not quite as dominating a game - we were hoping for 6 goals
since that's what they put up the previous two games, but instead
we squeaked out with a 1-1 tie, and lucky that it wasn't a loss!)

9.17.18
(ripe crabapples at the library lookin' lovely)

9.17.18
(funny tree on our ride home from school)

9.17.18
(I picked her up from school and her teeth and lips
and even chin were bright pink! all from a birthday
cupcake (cookie?) for snack time)

9.18.18
(pit fruits from my tree and Kylie's tree looking
pretty together in my bowl on my kitchen counter)

9.19.18
(I caught him singing the "fissel song" aka The Scotsman to his
cars and my heart nearly exploded)

9.20.18
(spooning french bread)

9.20.18
(picture day!)

9.20.18
(golden hour sun making our dry grass in the
backyard look extra beautiful)

9.20.18
(my mom grew some extra large zucchini and
gave them to us to make zucchini boats out of.
I carved and the kids decorated with scavenged
nature bits from the yard)

9.20.18
(the arm thing was all their idea)

9.20.18
(holy cuteness!)

9.20.18
(and instagram worthy shot right there)

9.20.18
(same pic, just cropped square - and you can really see those
smiles now)

9.20.18
(they look impressive, but do they float?
answer: yessiree - if you can find some water
deep enough to try. ;)

9.20.18
(our "stream" across the street had just enough
water in pooled in a low spot to test out their
sea-worthiness)

9.21.18
(it's hard to tell, but Charlie showed up at the park wearing
the same shirt as Sam - haha!)

9.21.18
(Callie got hold of my phone and took this and the following
park pictures)

9.21.18
(it's kind of fun to see things from her point of view)

9.21.18

9.21.18
(this one is my fave!)

9.21.18
(Gregg took a Friday unwind hike up at Powder and sent me
this - it's fall up there!)

9.22.18
(Callie's first of many fall pictures for our wall)

9.24.18
(mini Rocky Balboa ridin' his sister to school)

9.24.18
(and here he is in his natural habitat - surrounded by a car and
a book.  Life is good.)

9.24.18
(we went to Food Truck Night at the junior high
and the kids were highly entertained by the Skyhawk
mascot making the rounds among the crowds but they
were too shy to get a posed photo with him so I snuck
this one while we waited for our dinner from the
Burger Bus)

9.24.18
(good grub!)

9.24.18
(no more maverik!)

9.24.18
(but it's supposed to be back in December, bigger and better than
ever)

9.24.18
(tonight's version of the "stuffed animal game"
(where we send the kids on a race through the house
to gather stuffed animals and then run back to us and
then repeat indefinitely till they're worn out before
bed) was "run to that fire hydrant and then run back
to me" etc as we walked home from the food trucks)

9.25.18
(first sick day from school for Miss Cal - she coughed all night
the night before and slept all afternoon during school time)

9.25.18
(bikin' with little boy blue while sister naps)

9.25.18
(I had to check on her through the deck window
- still snoozin'!)

9.25.18
(sick, lazy, no dad day = muffin tin dinner and a giant bowl
of popcorn)

9.25.18
(while watching a movie!)

9.25.18
(just read, currently reading, up next)

9.27.18
(book orders came in on the same day I bought a haul at DI -
I'm not a shopper at all, but apparently I can't be stopped when
it comes to discount books!  Can you say #blanchardbooklove?)

9.27.18
(bike ride to the park on a magnificent September evening)

9.28.18
(From Gregg: "Really gotta work on
my timing when I call home.")

9.28.18
(these fall faves are worth checking out)

9.28.18
(watching the crayon-making episode of
Mr. Rogers on pbskids.com and they are
completely enthralled!)

9.28.18
(off to school we go - I just can't get enough
of these views, kind of like the hiking caboose
views I love so much)

9.28.18
(just started this one and love it after the first page)

9.28.18
(see what I mean?)

9.28.18
(I love our neighborhood so much!)

9.28.18
(dad flying home from his trip and Cal at a
birthday party of a classmate means that Sam and
I got to go on a date - he chose to pick out a car
at the store with his birthday money)

9.28.18
(this is his favorite display in the whole Valley
Market - and I wonder why?)

9.28.18
(I sprung for the tic tacs - his choice of all the
possible treats I suggested, including donuts and
soft serve ice cream cones. I think he liked that
he could finally pick something from the candy
racks in the checkout line.)

9.28.18
(I love him!)

9.29.18
(it's so great to have Dad back for morning
stories and snuggles!)

9.29.18
(more quotes I like from the Mr. Rogers book)

9.29.18

9.29.18
(a fun Saturday morning outing to the school park
for a change of pace)
