(one of these things is not like the others - our experiment in
action. my hypothesis is that the pinecones are leaching
something nasty into the soil of the first bucket, thus stunting
the growth of the plant. we dumped out the pincones, replaced
them with rocks, and repotted the first plant this afternoon
to see if we can save it)

Heather asked for an update on our repotted tomato - here it is:
not much has changed except the other two have gotten bigger
with more blossoms. but there might be a bit of new green
growth at the base of the sick plant, so I'm still holding out hope)

messages - I mean, look at her letters! -  next step,
understanding the riddle/joke that has been decoded)
