Four Fat Turkeys Are We

Callie has kept us in line with this new November tradition: every night after dinner she reminds us we have to "do a fehver!"  That consists of her choosing a construction paper feather from the stack hidden behind the tv, getting crayons to one of the parents, and each of us thinking of something that we're thankful for (which is then written or drawn on chosen feather).  Then she gets to stick the feather on the turkey on the wall (I tried not to help her with this, as you can see by her placement choices).  It has been a great exercise in gratitude, one that I originally intended to end at Thanksgiving, as sort of a countdown to the holiday.  But we all loved it so much, we cut out a few extra feathers to see us through the end of the month.  Its something that I think we'll continue for years to come (I even laminated the turkey body so we can reuse it - ha!).

She's a pretty cute little turkey.
