23 September 2023 - One of the things I really wanted to do while we were in Vermont was to hike to the top of Jay Peak. We've been to the top a couple of times before by tram, and Gregg had hiked to the top once in a previous visit when he was hiking to the top of every lift at the resort, but this time we all hiked to the top. From our doortstep! Round trip it was about 5 miles and 2100 feet of elevation gain. We were feeling it for a couple days after, but the kids were champs!

| This stretch was SO steep, so we rested a lot at the flat spots that were made in the road for water to drain down the mountain. We crossed 100 (not an exaggeration!) of these water diversion places on our hike! |
